COVID-19 Protocol

**If anyone, child or adult, has a positive test, they are REQUIRED to quarantine for 10 days and will not be able to attend practice. A letter will be sent with the date the individual is able to return to practice.**

Norchester will begin moving to a small group format with attendance being taken at EVERY practice.

This will ensure that we are able to contract trace and contain the spread in a more effective manner.

• If a player/cheerleader/coach comes up positive, that child/adult will be required to begin their 10 day quarantine.

• The rest of the players/cheerleaders/coaches in that small group will be monitored for 5 days for symptoms. • If there is ANY symptom, or any question that there is a symptom seen while on the field or at home, the player/cheerleader/coach will be required to follow quarantine protocol from the time of the symptom onset.

• The player/cheerleader/coach should test within 5 days and return with a negative test or, if the test is positive, begin the quarantine process.

• IF, any of our squads or teams get to 20% infection rate among players/cheerleaders/coaches, that squad or team will have to be shutdown and begin the quarantine process. Please understand, the 20% will change as the season goes on if the size of the squad or team changes. The coaches and Norchester staff are monitoring things closely and will keep on top of this.

The quarantine process is as follows:

• As stated above, ANYONE testing positive will begin a 10 day quarantine and not return to practice until it is done.

• Anyone flagged as having symptoms due to close contact with an infected individual will quarantine and test after 5 days, providing their NEGATIVE test, in order to return.

**Vaccinated players/cheerleaders/coaches are able to practice, provided they show proof of vaccination. If they are unable, or unwilling to show proof of vaccination, they must follow the same protocols of all the non-vaccinated players.**

We appreciate your understanding as this is a very fluid process and these protocols may change as the information provided to us increases. We are all out to ensure a safe and successful season for the children. ALL of this is about the children and the health of the community at large.
