7U & 9U JV ONLY Divisions
Timing shall be four 10 minute quarters just like normal Varsity play.
Add 40 second play clock.
Three (3) timeouts per half.
Two coaches per team allowed on the field. MUST stay out of way of play.
There is NO kicking game (kick-offs). Offensive team starts on own 40-yard line. Penalties from PAT carry over.
Punting is allowed outside of the opponents 35-yard line. A 15-yard walk-off or a dead ball punt option is allowed. Team will have the option to have a player drop back 5 yards and have a free punt. There is no center snap. There is no defensive rush allowed. The ball is dead where it rests; caught or touched by the receiving team. Return team must be in the acceptable defensive formation (6/2 - Cover 1/3 with 2 ILB, 2 CB 5 yards from LOS with FS being only exception being permitted to roam free.
After a safety, the ball is moved to the 40-yard line.
No Blitzing AT ALL. LB delayed blitz NOT allowed… must be 5 yards from LOS at time of snap.
Interceptions Play Out as normal.
Fumbles: Play Out as normal; however, defense may not gain possession of a fumble initiated behind LOS…. simple loss of down and NOT turnover
Defense must be “6-2”. 6 linemen; 2 Linebackers, 2 cornerbacks, 1 safety. LB & CB starts 5-yards from LOS and CB 5-yards outside of last player on line. Safety starts 10-yd from LOS.
No defensive player may lineup in the “A” gaps or directly over the center.
No QB sneaks
